Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) is a helpful tool in managing patients with diabetes who are insulin treated or who have problematic hypoglycemia. Consistent use of CGM improves overall glycemic control, reduces diabetes-related events, and reduces exacerbations, hospitalizations, and associated costs. CGM supports valued-based health care.
