Member Benefits: Pre-Approved CEs & CareManagement
Becoming a member of the Academy of Certified Case Managers (ACCM) means joining a dedicated community committed to excellence in case management. Members receive CareManagement, the bimonthly journal of ACCM, CCMC, and CMSA which offers relevant articles, updates, and insights from leaders in the field. Each issue includes two continuing education programs, pre-approved by CCMC and CDMSC—at no additional cost, giving members access to 18 CE credits per year.
That’s enough to maintain your certification over a five-year cycle. Members also benefit from additional features like the ability to print your official membership certificate online, ACCM provides value, support, and resources that grow with your professional needs.

Ongoing Education
Membership gives you access to 18 continuing education programs per year, each worth 1 CE credit. That’s 18 CE credits per year or 90 CE credits every 5 years—enough to maintain your CCM or CDMS certification.
Accredited Access
The Commission for Case Manager Certifications (CCMC) and the Certification of Disability Management Specialists Commission (CDMSC) review and preapprove each continuing education program. There is no charge to ACCM members for these programs.
Powerful Resource
ACCM members receive CareManagement, which contains the continuing education programs. And the journal offers much more. You’ll find regular columns and news from CCMC, CDMS, CMSA, and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). There’s news, drug information, a legal column, and a scan of the most recently published research articles with particular relevance for case managers.

Have questions about ACCM membership or continuing education? You are not alone. Below are answers to some of the most common questions we receive.
If you pass and submit exams for all of the continuing education home study programs offered in CareManagement, you will accumulate 120 CE credits every 5 years. There will be at least one ethics exam per year to help keep you current with the new Ethics requirement.
Yes, ACCM members may take CCMC and CDMS exams online or by mail.
Yes, you can print your certificate online. Click here to print your membership certificate if you are a current member.
Online exams are processed instantly. Mailed exams are normally processed within 4 to 6 weeks.
Exams are valid 90 days from issue date. Ethics exams expire one year from issue date.
ACCM uses the services of PayPal, the nation's premier payment processing organization. No financial information is ever transmitted to ACCM.
