Continuing Education That Supports Your Recertification

Since 1995, the Academy of Certified Case Managers’ (ACCM’s) CareManagement journal has helped certified case managers and certified disability specialists stay current and meet their CE requirements. ACCM members receive a full subscription to CareManagement, which provides access to pre-approved CE programs, legal insights, editorials, and news from case management organizations—written for case managers by case managers. All content is designed to support ongoing professional growth.

All CE programs offered through CareManagement are pre-approved by CCMC/CDMS and count toward the 80 CE credits including ethics required every five years to maintain your CCM certification.

ACCM supports your ongoing professional development through continuing education. CareManagement has been a trusted resource for certified case managers since 1995. All self study courses are pre-approved for CCM and CDMS credit.

As a member of the Academy of Certified Case Managers (ACCM), you receive a free subscription to CareManagement—giving you full access to continuing education home-study programs that can fulfill all your required CE credits for recertification over 5 years.

ACCM is the nation’s largest membership organization dedicated to certified case managers and certified disability management specialists. Its mission is to advance the profession through education. Members receive the CareManagement journal six times a year, featuring pre-approved continuing education articles, including at least two ethics articles per year. Additional resources include continuing education supplements and the PharmaFacts newsletter.

CareManagement is the official journal of the Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC) and the Academy of Certified Case Managers (ACCM), and a publication of the Case Management Society of America (CMSA).

The journal is published 6 times a year. Each issues contains 3 primary articles pre-approved by CCMC, CDMS, and the California Board of Registered Nursing, including articles to meet the ethics requirements.

Certified case managers and certified disability management specialists need 80 CE credits every 5 years for recertification. For the past 30 years, CareManagement has enabled its members to maintain their certification by offering a source of ongoing education through home study.

Process

Earn Your Continuing Education Credits in Three Simple Steps

CareManagement is available for anyone to read, but access to CE tests is an exclusive benefit for ACCM members. Getting started with membership is quick and easy.

1 - Join ACCM

Become a member of the Academy of Certified Case Managers to unlock full access to our CE programs.

2 - Receive Your Private Login

After you join, you will receive your private member login credentials to access and complete 1, 2, or 3 CE tests in each issue. Note that your name must be entered in a case-sensitive manner, such as Jane Doe. You must pass a test with an 80% to earn a certificate. Two attempts are allowed.

3 - Read the Articles

Read the CE articles and complete the CE test online, or print and mail it. A link to the online test is provided at the end of each CE article. You must pass the test with an 80% to earn your certificate. Your results will be available instantly if you complete the test online. After successfully passing, you can download or print your certificate from the website. (PRINT IT IMMEDIATELY. You cannot print it later.) If you would rather mail your test, print it and mail it to the address at the bottom of the test. A confirmation email will be sent to you after your successful completion.
